I have a customer on MAS 200 version 4.50.4.0. They own core, distribution, BOM, WO, and MRP. No one can open the Cost Detail tab on in either Item Maintenance or Item Inquiry on a Make item. What am I missing?

what is the valuation of that item ?

Must be lifo or fifo to open cost detail.

Only LIFO/FIFO/Serial/Lot item valuations use it.

BTW, their valuation was Standard. What tripped me up was the tab was not grayed out. On my test system, the tab goes grey when the tab is unavailable due to the valuation method. On the clients system it didn't. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Shawn since some version after 4.50 (don't know which one) the Cost Detail tab folder is in fact dimmed out / grayed out like you saw when the Valuation is Std or Avg. Prior to that it's still inaccessible but not dimmed out. So you were sane.

@AlnoorCassim don't spread rumors! I may need to hold on to that sanity thing in case for a defense strategy some day.
