I have a customer on a version 4.4 of a DSD Extended Solution - they inquired about upgrading to 4.5 and wondered what the time required to upgrade the DSD Extended Solution was. What I learned from Sedal Legesse ( sedall@dsdinc.com ) of DSD: - 12 week lead time - Upgrading the enhancements as requested - even for customers on maintenance What I think this means is that if one of your customers has an Extended Solution (and I think DSD at this point is the primary game in town) you may want to check with Sedal and get your upgrade order in sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the heads up - 3 months seems like a long time. I put my request in now as I have a client who wants to upgrade at christmas and we might not be able to if there is a 12 week lead - hopefully it is already in the pipeline.

For enhancements that are done with scripting, I'm finding no significant time to upgrade from 4.4.X to 4.5.

@MyronStevenson -- thanks for the info. We've done a few scripting projects, and now some of those customers are interested in upgrading to 4.5. Glad to know if should be (mostly) painless.

Not sure I understand why a request is required if customer is on manintenance. Do I also have to request it again (and wait another 3 months) when a PU is installed? One of the DSD Enhancement Maintenance Plan benefits is the ""Automatic notification of new releases to plan subscribers."" Is there a change to the plan benefits?
