I have a customer already on 100c. Do you know if they purchase additional user licenses do they get assessed the upfront fee? (I presume so). Have you heard of any existing users being able to negotiate the upfront fee away? I know at one point Sage talked about the upfront going away but I haven't seen any evidence of the upfront fee being eliminated.

Yes, the upfront fee is charged. I have not heard of negotiation for this.

There has been serious talk about the upfront fee going away a la Sage Manufacturing. This would be offset by an increase in the subscription fees. Anything can be negotiated with Sage, but primarily on new name customer sales.

If you wait til month end, they might. I have had them give me a discount on up front if they think it'll close the deal. If it was the end of September, they'd do anything. haha

For what it's worth, on the Nov 2017 price spreadsheet, the upfront doesn't display unless you switch the dropdown from existing perpetual customer to new customer.

Does everyone have the 'internal version"" of this? I wouldn't use it for placing orders, but it makes the smoke and mirrors go away a little.

Wayne, Sage confirmed on an order I'm placing, no up front for adding modules for existing 100c customers. In fact, I'm thinking that only users add to up-front fees these days.

Thanks. This company wants to add additional users as opposed to just buying add-on module(s). That seems to be two different things to Sage.

The upfront fee is added to additional users only. Slim chance of negotiation if just purchasing one or two.
