  • 1.  I have a Crystal report with a customer parameter

I have a Crystal report with a customer parameter set up. I need to add new customers to the list. In Crystal 10, the missing customers would appear on the left and you could choose which customers to add. In Crystal XI, I can't figure out how to have the program list the missing customers. I have tried the Actions tab and selected Append All Database Values and that didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Put the field you want to browse in the Value Field, then click on the Append All Database Values.

I tried that but the values aren't coming in. I'm getting a blank list box. Do I need to remove the current values from Value list?

I just tried it - I brought all in, deleted 3 of them, and brought all in again and the 3 I deleted ended up at the bottom. Is it prompting you to login when you choose to Append?

Does the parameter have to be set as Dynamic?

No, Static works for this. Dynamic would be prompting you each time you ran it.

It is prompting me to login when I choose append but still nothing comes up in the list box or gets populated to values. Did you have to change anything under Value Options?

Well, this is weird. I did it on 2 different reports. With one it worked, with the other I got a blank list box, too. Oops, nevermind - on the one I got a blank list box, I was attempting to browse the wrong version of MAS.

Thanks Beth. Although the report was pointing to the correct version of MAS, I reset the Datasource Location and that fixed it.
