I have a couple of Websitepipeline prospects. What is the commission structure? Do they use a tier or does everyone get the same percentage commission? How is WSP to work with?

WSP is great to work with if you put the time into working with them. You will want to call them and find out who your channel rep is and get signed up as a partner. Register your prospects, make the introduction between your prospect and WSP, take part in the sales calls and discovery, assist WSP with any unique information that will help them understand the prospect and better position themselves and the solution. The commissions are pretty good now, and depending on the deal you can make a nice commission from the initial sale. If you don't know who to call, ask for Eric Alexander. He is one of the founders, and he is great to work with.

I just closed my first WSP deal and am surprised with how low the commission is. I sent an email to WSP yesterday but haven't received a response yet. I will probably get something today but just wondering if others have experienced the same.

Via Darcy @ WSP: If you don't have a Channel Development Manager assigned to you, please contact Don Martin, don.martin@websitepipeline.com 864-272-4000 x 110. Website Pipeline pays 20% on the software portion of the initial sale on deals referred by partners. If you get to $100k in total revenue in a 12-month period, you get a bonus 10% on the deals that got you there, and stay at 30% as long as you maintain $100k in total revenue on a rolling 12 months. Full details can be found here: http://www.websitepipeline.com/partnering/details.asp

As part of DSD I would guess we are over $100K per year so the commission s/b 30%.

I have one customer with WSP. I received one check (very low amount) when the deal closed. The customer has since quadrupled their business with WSP but I get nothing. No recurring revenue either. I talked to several people but they say that unless you hit 100K the commissions are what they are.

I'm not sure we ever received any payments from WSP nor had an agreement. The sale(s) were long ago, and I don't know if they had a formal program then or told us about it. They certainly were not an affiliate of 90 Minds back then.

I closed a deal five years ago with WSP and received $3K. I don't recall what the total to the customer was but I thought it was fair. It was originally supposed to be $5K but the customer scaled back a bit and WSP asked if they could scale back my commission as well. I guess I could have said no but I agreed to it. They only pay once the customer has paid. I received $2K upfront for the customer's down-payment then $1K upon completion in three months or so.
