I have a client we just upgraded to Sage 100 Std 2016. We need to ""Update Custom Panels to Current Level"", but they were one of those clients that did not end up with Custom Office. Does anyone know of another way to run that utility?

They have PM2000 Prop. Mgt., and some screens have been added, modified.

You should be ok unless PM2000 is using custom office to modify their screen libraries. the pm2000 installation should install the custom libraries. It probably includes instructions to run that utility though. That would be necessary to add any custom office changes the reseller or end user makes to the PM2000 custom libraries. I've not worked with that product for years now so I suppose it's possible that they are using custom office instead of installing their own screens. if so I think I would resort to pulling the entire install onto a local laptop and use my own reg keys and install custom office ..... and so on and so on and then copy the screen libraries back to the client (a real PITA)

If they were on the SMB version (without custom office) and now are on regular version; you might be able to get Custom Office from Sage for free. Give it a try. We asked this week for a client and Sage gladly gave us an unlocking key that included Custom Office.

What @MadelineStefanou said worked for me last month. Client had a 6 user license, if that matters.

Thanks everyone. I'll see if I can get the new license keys first. Hopefully I don't have to resort to the PITA alternatives.

Sage's policy was that anyone who had at least a 5-user license could get Custom Office for no additional charge. (except for maybe the annual business care fee) We have had several users take advantage of this.

Chris, have you already installed PM2000, enabled it, and you are missing fields? If the customer does not have Custom Office, then they will not have any customized screen libraries out there. I believe that is the only reason that PM2000 (and others) recommend that you run the utility. If they don't have Custom Office then the utility is not necessary. If you have done all the install and the enable and you are missing fields, then you need to contact the publisher, in my opinion.

When I initially installed PM, I was missing fields in Customer Maint., even after updating Custom Panels. Nothing I did got them back, so ACSG sent a new AR_Customer.M4L, and that fixed it. Perhaps you're having a similar issue?

Philip, This is an upgrade of an existing PM2000 install, and it looks like it's the positions of the fields on the panels. I'm getting multiple Screen Manager - 'Error in Def of Screen Item"" errors, which look like PM2000 fields. ML_UNITDESC, D4040_ALLOCATIONCODE. The programmers at ACS have my info, but I was trying to be proactive, because they have had it for a while.
