I have a client upgrading to 2017 at the same time they are implementing Scanco One. They went live yesterday and just realized (!?!) that they need more that 15 characters for their serial number. We looked at DSD's CIEL Extended Lot/Serial Numbers but the client uses Work Order which I think eliminates that option. Does anyone have ANY suggestion for a solution here?

We could modify CIEL to work with Work Order, but I think you have to go to Scanco. Last I knew, if you need to expand the serial numbers they need to do it and they wont make it work with ours because I think they have a solution for this.

Are they using WOScan? I feel like I have talked to Joe about this before and he had a good alternative solution. Using a UDF to tie together the WO and Lot# or something.

ACSG may be able to help. They work well with scanco and worksorder. They do custom programming also. www.acsg.com Ron Jacobs and Ron Chomps are great to work with.
