I have a client that wants to purchase an equipment maintenance tracking system. This is not for stuff they sell, but internal equipment like air conditioners, building maintenance items. He wants to record the item and then set up maintenance shedules and record when the maintenance is complete and when someone puts in a request for maintenance. It does not need to integrate with Sage 100. Any recommendations?

Isn't there component of FAS that handles this?

@MarkChinsky I'm not aware of an equipment maintenance component to FAS. If there is, someone clue me in. However, ASI as an add-in for Sage 100 that is used for tracking maintenance. I think it can be used in a manner similar to what you are describing. Just a thought.

I have a client that uses job cost in their regular business and also to track equipment maintenance. It works well for them. If your client does not already own JC and since it has not changed much in 15 years, it might not be the best answer for you.

ASI actually has an equipment maintenance enhancement. I don't have experience with this add-on but their service center add-on works well and Phil Whirley at ASI is a class act kind of guy. http://www.asifocus.com/products/additions-for-sage-100-erp-mas90-mas200/equipment-maintenance/

I second @ShawnSlavin. ASI and Phil Whirley are great to work with. The ASI Service Center software does an excellent job of tracking and billing warranty and non-warranty work and keeping up with maintenance history by piece of equipment.

Actually the FAS part I was thinking of was their Tracking component. It doesn't do maintenance, sorry
