I have a client that recently upgraded to Sage 100 advanced v 4.50.30 (Mas 200) They are telling me that if users are logged in and inactive for ""a period of time"" they are being booted out even when they have data entry screens open and ""losing their open work"" - we checked the obvious user login setting to auto log off and verified it is not turned on. Has anyone seen this or think of other reasons? They did the upgrade and implementation on their own so I'm going to find out if he is running as a service or not but I don't thiink I've seen this before.

My first response to them would be to install PU 4. Sage works in mysterious ways and this MAY resolve their issue.

How many machines? Is it happening to all of them? Could it be power saver settings on the NIC at the server or the workstation?

I don't think that they do not have a lot of users experiencing the issue but they just switched to MAS200 and have not yet added a lot of users. I'll definitely pass on both of these thoughts.

Are they coming in via Citrix/TS and perhaps have some inactivity timer set per login? I've had this occur before. In any event it seems likely to be an IT issue which you'll likely have to prove is not a Sage issue.

Thanks everyone - it turns out it was the 2nd most obvious answer: the workstations power down or set to sleep mode with inactivity on the workstations.
