  • 1.  I have a client that is asking to automate period

    I have a client that is asking to automate period end processing after hours for P/O, S/O, I/M, A/P and A/R. Is anyone aware of a way to do this? Any third party solutions out there?

    @David Overholt, did you happen to get anywhere with this?  I have a client inquiring.  I suppose we could consider using something like Macro Express:

    Wow it took me a minute to even remember what client requested that.

     

    We did not find anything and didn't spend too much time on it. They were hoping for something inexpensive and easy .  I did some training with them and found that they were running all the PE reports while doing period end processing. I explained that they could run reports ahead of time or some reports could be run even after closing. Turning off the checkbox to print reports during PE processing cut the Controllers time down considerably. I think she was spending a whole day on the weekend printing reports and closing periods. So that training session  seemed to satisfy them.  Side note they are STILL running version 2014 even now.

    I have a client using something similar to automate Invoice Printing, end of day Sales Journal updating, etc after everyone leaves for the day.

    Isn't this what deferred printing is for?  If it can be fired up from automated tasks it seems like it would work,

    Don't use Deferred for anything you want in Paperless (journals / DTR...).
