I have a client running version 4.2 with the old Hightower POS system. they are having issues with PC Charge and are on the phone with PC Charge support. PC Charge will not help them unless they upgrade the PC Charge to version 5.10.1 Is there any way to find out if MAS90 version 4.2 will work with PC Charge 5.10.1 ?

This is the oldest I could find - looks like 5.8.2 is the supported level. http://support.sagesoftwareonline.com/mas/charts/ospcm/gap.pdf That being said I've had PC Charge pull this stunt on customers (one reason I push to get them off PC Charge) and the customer went and updated above what was shown as compatible. The main issue was that we needed PC Charge support (which presumably they have) as calling Sage was nothing but a time consuming round robin between Sage and Verifone. I prep the customer in advance that they should buy the PC Charge support case(s) directly as that's the fastest way to resolve problems.

Thank you Wayne, they do have PC Charge support - I guess we will try it and see :) We are in the process of testing the new SWK version of the Hightower POS in version 4.5 along with Sage Payment Solutions and even considered trying to get 4.2 working with Sage Payment Solutions instead of messing with the PC Charge but they urgently need to get cards processed and converting to SPS on Version 4.2 seems to be a crap shoot in itself. Hopefully SWK Point of Sale is going to work properly and we can get the upgrade done soon. I fear we may be one of the first to implement the Point of Sale. (We are still in the early stages of the upgrade and just starting to test)

@DavidOverholt we are in the process of implementing SWK POS with Sage payments at a client. There are still critical unfixed bugs, like processing returns, that don't work. Hopefully, bug fixes coming soon so we can go live.

@RonGouveia there was service pack released about a week ago, SWK Support tells me it fixed most of the critical issues. I'm curious, have you installed that and still seeing some critical issues? We are still in the beginning of testing mode so we have some time but the client has been waiting a long time to upgrade and they are anxious to pull the trigger but they are realistic about testing. .

Yes, I installed that service pack and found out on Friday that processing returns wasn't working and that another service pack should be coming out soon so I delayed my implementation.

We have two clients we would like to upgrade on SWK POS but have held back for the same reason. Our test install was riddled with issues. When Brian Wade announced a new build, I went to their site and noticed the Service Pack date and size had changed since the first one. I wrote Patty asking if the Service Pack would bring us current. She indicated the were not releasing service packs and to ""Please install the new build available on our website."" We have done that but the client has not had a chance to test sufficiently yet. I will mention returns. Did SWK have an estimate of when the next set of fixes would come out?

Patty told me that she was testing them this weekend so I'm hoping to see an update later this week. @JohnBroadfoot you're right in saying they don't issue service packs but rather new builds for download.
