I have a client on 3.71 (I know) she just got a new workstation and every module but purchase order updates fine. Purchase Order update throws a ""cannot create sort file"". I've tried all of Sage's suggestions with regards to anti-virus, reinitialized POTXXX, rebuilt everything and re-ran the workstation. Still get the error. Does anyone have some 3.71 knowledge they can dust off and share? Thank you!

have you made sure you can read and write to the directory? If you can do you have permissions to rename the sort file? Does it give you the option or look at error info?

Thank you for such fast responses! Silly anti-virus. Even with all the .soa, .m4t and the MAS90 folder excluded, it is what is causing this error. Does anyone know what else might need to be excluded?

Oh and is this MAS 90 or MAS 200?

Thanks - I just loaded all of those and the error still happens. But if I turn off real-time scan, it works fine. They are using Microsoft Security Essentials.

First check what @davidoverholt said then Check your IE settings for Trusted or Local sites to have the path to the server. It is a little odd that this only happens for PO. I don't see why all modules would not act the same for 3.71.

Kate, Have you tried turning off Opportunistic locks in Windows? I just had an issue where this may have been a factor.

I will see about turning off the Opportunistic locks, I have also had issues where that ended up being the cuplrit. I did change the TID. Trying to remember this 3.71 stuff is hurting my brain. I added the server path to the IE trusted sites. Thanks everyone for all your help!
