General Consultant Discussion

I have a client in the Monroe, NC area who is using the Sage 100 manufacturing modules. Their power user has recently left the firm. The 2nd user has been to class and is familiar with the system, but she would like to visit another manufacturer in her area to brain storm on some issues. Does anybody have a recommendation?

Hi Esther! We have some folks fairly close to Monroe but they only use Bill of Materials. I'm assuming your customer is using Work Order?

Esther, why don't they want to brainstorm with you? With your access to many clients using MAS in many different ways, I would think you would be the go to person for best of breed ideas. Many times, the optimal solution is to use MAS more AND to change their internal processes to take advantage of MAS (and Excel/Access/etc). Yes, talking wtih other users is helpful to break the inertia and that is where the Summit might also work to your advantage.

Jeff; Maybe brainstorming was not the best word for my customer here. We have had several remote sessions about the best way for their company to use the system, but she would like to visit with another user. My local customers come to our User Group where they get this kind of contact. She is one of my distance customers. esther
