    We have an installation of Sage 100cloud Standard 2020 (Version 6.20.10) running on a Windows 2012 Virtual machine and it is DOG-@$$ slow! No, that's not right because saying it that way is an insult to old slow dogs! Seriously, when you select to open Sales Order Entry it takes a FULL MINUTE (timed it with my stop watch app) to bring up a blank entry form. The SO Invoice Entry is quicker! That comes up in a blazing 41 seconds! (I barely have time to walk down the hall for coffee!)

    Now, this isn't exactly a new occurrence. We recently upgraded from Sage 100 2015 and that version wasn't responding like Mercury but it was tolerable. After the upgrade Sage decided that running through the mud would be fun! We had the server farm throw more resources at the virtual machine and Sage 100 only let out a maniacal laugh!

    This is our in-house production system and if I can't get some help speeding this old mule up then @Jerry Norman is likely to pull his beard out! You don't want to see him without a beard.

    Here are some of the specifications:
    Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Standard Version 6.2.9200 Build 9200
    x64-based PC Virtual Machine
    Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-4650 v2 @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
    BIOS Version/Date: Microsoft Corporation Hyper-V UEFI Release v1.0, 11/26/2012
    Installed Physical Memory 4.00 GB
    Total Physical Memory 4.00 GB
    Available Physical Memory 2.35 GB
    Total Virtual Memory 4.68 GB
    Available Virtual Memory 3.01 GB
    Page File Space 704 MB
    Sage 100cloud Standard 2020 (Version 6.20.10)

    And after examining the Windows Activity and Error Logs I find that they are as clean as the Pope's Rap Sheet.

    Is this on ABC demo data?
    Any enhancements? What’s in Links?
    Did you shut off the Windows defender AV? I think someone here reported that as a contributor to slow speed

    Copy the \mas90 to your laptop. Does it run faster? If so - it’s likely not a data problem ( and leans away from being totally a Sage 100 issue ).

    Is this a new server or has it been running other versions of Sage 100?

    We also have Operations Mgt (JobOps) in our instance. 

    Has anybody seen performance issues with OM/JobOps v2020?

    have you checked the performance tab in task manager?  Look at the CPUs and see if a program is hogging all of the processing time.

    Goose - RDS connection, Citrix connection?  I am assuming you are running it directly on the server.  AV off?  UAC off?  How much disk space?  Have you excluded the Sage extensions from AV?  Do you have office loaded and is it slow?

    For me….it was resolved with revising the antivirus exclusions in both the SOPHOS AV & WIN DEFENDER….Sage has an updated list from april…..
