I don't see the capability of adding a column for quantity available or Q on Sales Order when using ALE looking into an item in Sales Order. Am I missing something or is this the way it's supposed to be? Talking about 4.5

I think it's WAD. Can't show the info if warehouse hasn't been selected for the line.

If you have a small amount of whses you can add UDFs to represent the Qty on Hand and Qty Available for those whses in CI_Item and update those figures periodically. Just an idea. It's not real-time though.

I ask users to just select the item, then press Alt Z (or click on the Item Qty Inquiry button).

You might want to try BIE instead: ""Item View"" with Preview of ""Item Quantities by Warehouse"" - but you likely need to create a formula field for Qty Avail.

That would be a good idea -- they could have that up on their 2nd monitor and just refresh the data periodically.
