I don't recall prior versions rebooting without any warning at all when it finishes the .NET pre-requisites install, but 2016 sure does.

It seems to always require a reboot. I have had certain instance where it roles an unprompted reboot.

Yup I too noticed this behavior in version 2016.

unbelievable, right? I called Sage about it and they said it was because the machine was waiting on a reboot from a prior update - but I don't buy that.

Had one do this to me yesterday too.

This is a know issue w v2016, Sage installer strikes again.

Wasn't the reason for allowing installation on server 2008 STD because of the Sage installer???

This has come up 2 or 3x as I think Brett has linked. It's a clear indication that nobody in Sage engineering has any field experience doing any actual consulting.

because of these issues I now do the .NET install prior to starting the Sage install.
