I created an ALE custom view for inventory item look up (v4.40) and the client wants it to be the default for other users, too. Is there a way to share a custom view, or does it have to be set up for each user?

Create it from User Lookup Wizard in Library Master / Main.

For the Sales Order Item lookup you can modify the ""CI_ItemAllEXTSO Inventory Master List

Be forewarned that modifying the default look up for all will blow away and all custom lookups previously created.
