I can not find the following message in the knowledgebase. I was migrating 4.3 to 2013. Migration hung. I decided after about 40 minutes to break out and restart. I get.... unable to open SY_company when I try to put in the old install path and password. It allows me to proceed but gives me no companies. I have replaced the source (4.3 install) thinking it was there. I am starting to think the sy_company file is corrupted or locked in the new/destination company. Thoughts?

You say that you hung up in the midst of migration. Is it possible there's a file lock on the source SY_Company. Are you able to reboot the server/workstation ?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I rebooted the server after the error and tried again. Right where you are on this. Sage indicated the systems files in the new install are likely damaged. I had to uninstall the painfully slow install and start over. I guess I now have a new place to make a copy in the process (as part of my safety net procedures).

Are you able to just start up the 2013 version and go into DFDM to see the company codes (maybe you installed a demo data company during installation)? Have you tried turning off PEP in the 2013 install? It gets in the way of migration sometimes.
