    I am working the arrangements for our meals at 2013 MOTM's Here are the preliminary plans for MOTM est cost in parentheses Embassy Suite Meeting Room Rental ($1100) Dinner Thursday 5:30 (Lorna's Italian) ($500) MOTM sponsored BTW, This is Valentines day but got reservations...wasn't easy!! :) http://www.lornasitalian.com/ Lunch Friday (open but probably sandwiches at hotel) ($200) DSD and MOTM Sponsored Dinner Friday (Possibly Harry's Bar and Grill very nice...) 6:30 Altec & MOTM Sponsored ($1000 MOTM side) http://harryslajolla.com/ Lunch Sat (Eureka Burgers) 12:00 Avalara & MOTM sponsored ($100 difference) http://www.eurekaburger.com Dinner Sat (PFChangs) 6:30 ($800) MOTM sponsored http://www.pfchangs.com/index.aspx Preliminary estimated for food and room total $3700 What do you think?

    Nice! Rob Johnson messaged me about Avalara - I don't know what he wants other than I told him at first we weren't accepting sponsors. Maybe he wants to double check Russ isn't padding his expenses...

    Rob was just making sure that Avalara wasn't being too pushy. I'd originally told Rob we weren't taking sponsors so he wanted to be sure it was ok. I told him that we'd likely be open to doing more with Avalara but that we just ran short on planning time for MOTM and wanted to focus more on content.

    @WayneSchulz - They may also be wondering why they weren't invited back. There's a natural instinct to question if the answer they are given (""we are accepting sponsors"") is the truth. Just a thought.

    This sounds good to me. At this years conference we'll have to decide whether we want the conference to grow, stay the same or go in a different direction so that way we can begin planning a big earlier and perhaps offer different sponsor levels. It would be nice if we could have a sponsor night so that during the day it was no pitches and at night we might have a presentation or two.
