I am waiting on support, but wandered if anyone has come across this before. Client v2016 Std was printing W2's (old school) did not know they needed blank forms and got preprinted. They ended up efiling, but only the Fed copy. I could not get Aatrix to go back and efile the Employee copies and of course we did not have the correct paper to print them. Not sure what happens if we use the Start Over.

I have had to do what you need to do. I think when you start over, everything is reset. Make a copy of your efiling pr folder just in case. Last year I notified all of my clients that I was not going to help them print 1099's or W-2's locally in the future. Aatrix is just too easy. Yes, if you have a LOT of employees, the price argument does have merit. But they already pay a buck per employee for filing the fed stuff. A stamp is almost 50 cents, so isn't the extra 50 cents worth letting Aatrix do it all. As far as the proper paper, just print on blank paper, flip over and print the verbiage on the back. Some of my clients have done that and they haven't been harassed by the IRS. Knock on wood.

Agree with @JeffSchwenk The only way to efile the Employee forms is to Start Over.

So never got my call back from Sage today. Client decided to go back in and see if they could do the reprint/efile what had not been completed. It let her E-file the Employee W2's. So it must have needed to refresh (wait a day) to realize the first process had been completed. So no start over.
