I am trying to import cost codes into Job cost maintenance. I want to assign existing cost codes (Set up previously) to a new job. I also want to assign revised units or costs to those cost codes. I cannot get the VI job to bring in any units or costs. Has anyone done this before? TIA

I've done it. Are you getting errors, or just nothing importing?

I'm assuming you are importing it into JC2? that table has headers and detail lines. chances are your import has assigned the header record already. You will need to do a second import where you set the record type to Detail Record to bring in the units and the costs.

Nothing is importing OR I am getting an extra cost code record that causes an error when I try to open it

It's a good possibility it's the danged Div and Vendor fields. The Div defaults to 00 because it is a Z type instead of S. I think I have to modify the data dictionary for those imports and change that to an S so it can import a BLANK.
