I am trying to default a group of sales people to Sales Order Type = Quote. I have made the advanced field settings to default to Q for this group and also did the same on the Sales Order Header order type. Nothing has worked . What am I doing wrong???? 4.50.6v

Since you can do that on the DEFAULT button when in Sales Order Entry, I wonder if the DEFAULT overrides whatever you are doing in Custom Office?

Or was that what you meant in the Sales Order Header order type?

I defaulted the default button and the sales order entry screen for this group. I did it in both places since neither one was working.... Of course the customer did all the ""testing"" and I am converting them now to go live Monday. I signed in as a salesperson to check the screen and it is not working. Probably wasn't working when they were testing either but why would they tell me that.... no we are going to wait till tomorrow !!!!

That's so weird. I use that exact thing in my internal MAS (set to quote) and I just tested it in 4.5.5 and it worked fine (not using Custom Office).

What do you mean not using Custom office ? and I'm on SP6 so Sage only knows what they did on this SP...

Yeah if you choose quote in defaults it works but if you use advanced field settings - the default will show as quote but when you hit next order no it comes up as standard order. We don't want the sales people to be able to do anything but quotes so I have to have it default to quote.

Yep, same for me. The Default button thing is the only thing that works.
