I am thinking of reselling Monarch data capturing and mining software by Datawatch. I am very impressed with the current version. Does anyone else resell this or have any advice to share? Thanks!

Is it expensive? What are the uses other then data migration.

It's not expensive for the right fit! :-) God help me I'm starting to sound like a salesperson (SRP $2K). Think of it as a reverse Crystal Report - It takes the report output and converts it back into a normalized header/detail table. 1. Use it to capture the data in reports from customers and vendors that are unable or unwilling to provide it via CSV or other electronic means. 2. I have clients in a tiered broker-distributor-customer sales hierarchy where end user sales information is needed and the data is only available via PDF.

Why not just pay you to do that?

To run the day to day conversions I could provide little value over a clerk. Maybe I could train my 11 year old grandson to do these. I would provide the service of creating the models that convert the reports into tables. There is an automation server where users can place a report in a folder and have it automatically converted. I am looking into having my own automation server that clients could utilize.

I'll definitely keep you in mind if an application arrives

How's it licensed or how many users for the SRP of 2k?
