I am installing Starship 12 on a client site and have an issue where the system will not register. V-Technologies is claiming that the access is blocked, but Anti-Virus and the Windows Firewall are both off. The main firewall has ports 80 and 443 open. We can browse to websites the rep gave us through the web browser. Just wondering if anyone has seen this before. If not, once we finally get it resolved I'll post the resolution in case anyone else has this happen to them.

We went through 3 technicians at V-Tech with no resolution so far.

I had one where we could not get BOI to register. Wound up chalking it up to a fluky machine. Finally used a different computer.

So far V-Tech is pointing to the firewall and the firewall people are pointing to Starship. Love the finger pointing game.

Shouldn't V-Tech have some type of ping capability to test that their server is reachable? (And if you find out what that is - please do post)..

No they said that their server doesn't accept pings as a matter of security. The firewall people verified that they see something going out and coming in.

Does that ""Get new registration keys"" screen show anything useful? I just had to re-register a customer for Starship Link 2.0 but didn't read what the screen showed and don't know if it has any diagnostic information.

    No unfortunately not.
