It is interesting how there really are ""two americas"". I'm at the Epicor conference which is extremely biased towards manufacturers and the majority of them are in ""Red"" states. I guess that's why they are having President Bush give tomorrow mornings keynote :) . Sat down with a new client who has worked with one of my consultants for years. He's from Texas and once I told him I was from NJ and he heard my NE accent, he was treating me like a Birkenstock wearing kid at a Occupy Wall Street rally. I promise I said nothing about politics as I'm smart enough to know to never talk about politics with customers unless they bring it up and I'm of the same persuasion. It took me a good 10 minutes for him to understand that A) I'm not liberal, and B) Not everybody from NJ (or California, or Massachusetts etc) is.
Is interesting how much of our manufacturing economy is in Red states and service economy is in Blue states
