I went to Lisbon and it was an amazing experience to see a conference done extremely well. I'm not so sure about going to Istanbul - seems like it's very close to a very ill spot in the world these days.

Istanbul is one of the great cities of the world, very welcoming of Americans, and no where near the Syrian border. If you love travel to places like Rome or London or Paris or Prague or Rio you would probably love Istanbul too. So from my perspective - Istanbul is a big draw.

Oh I know. But, I'm sure you know that the conflict in that region sprang up out of nowhere, right? That area of the world is a cesspool of violence and lunatics. I hope everyone remains safe if they choose to attend. To me, it just seems like an odd decision by Sage.

14-18 hour flight - sign me up.

I had such a great time earlier this year at the X3 conference (hanging with Paul Z and Mark R was the highlight) but for me, I think this one will be a pass.
