July 2, 2012 After much anticipation and delay, SWK Technologies, Inc. is pleased to have recently completed the acquisition of Hightower's assets, including the HighTower proprietary enhancements. SWK takes great pride in testing and delivering proprietary add-on solutions for Sage end-users and for Sage channel partners. Historically, we do this in advance of the release of the new version by Sage and look forward to doing this for the HighTower enhancements, like we do for MAPADOC EDI. The acquisition of the Hightower assets spanned nearly three months. In late March, we executed a letter of intent and immediately began supporting Hightower Sage clients as Hightower had ceased operations. There were many delays caused by third parties, yet we managed to continue working on bringing the enhancements to current version during this time through a license agreement. This ceased when we closed on the asset purchase as we now own these assets. Currently, we are evaluating each product and developing the correct roadmap to best utilize our collective programming resources. We are focused on meeting your needs and delivering a solid solution the first time. After all, we are also a Sage business partner like you and we understand the effects of poor execution. At SWK, we are confident that with your continued patience and our expert abilities, you will soon see the highest level of functionality in each solution, along with service that matches the rest of SWK's offerings. Our newly acquired ""HTI Enhancements"" will reinforce SWK's mission ""to empower our clients and partners with knowledge, solutions, and tools for success."" SWK's HTI Enhancements ""Enhancements you can count on"" We are proud to announce our first release of many more to come: Multi-Bin 4.5 was ready for download, as of Monday, June 25, 2012! That abortion took nearly 3 months of planning?

The acquisition probably cost much more than anticipated. Not many at the 2002 Visions would have forseen that within 10 years Hightower would go the way they did. Those who want to revisit the past try this: http://www.sagesoftware.com/visions/

They were demonstrating what happens when you don't use their Spell Check product. You send out embarrassing emails like the one above.
