How to tell if customer on v4.30 has keys for Sage Payment Processing. Customer on 4.3 is using PC Charge. I believe they also have the keys to switch to SPS because when I login and look at company maintenance I see the SPS option and can switch to it without a warning. Am I safe to assume that the keys in the system have activated SPS integration?

SPS and pccharge products keys are the same. All the differences are in payment type maintenance. In order to use SPS you need the SPS term keys

My notes from a prior setup indicate that I just took the Sage Payment Terminal ID and used that as the merchant no in the payment type setup and it worked like a champ. This was on an older setup where Sage had not already started issuing free CC integration keys. Credit Card processing is listed as a module under installed apps so I'm going with the assumption that I won't need new keys

You need special keys for SPS in payment type maintenance. They are different than the pccharge merchant keys

Yes - when you say keys in payment type maintenance you are talking abou the Sage Terminal ID which Sage sends to those who sign up. You have to replace the merchant ID with the Terminal ID. However you don't have to deal with Sage sales for new product registration keys provided that the keys were already included (and I think being able to switch to SPS means that they were but I'm not 100%).
