How to lock UDFs? v2016: creating CI_Item UDFs. Want data to flow into SO Detail History and AR Invoice History Detail. The data does not need to be viewed by users; if the fields must be viewable, they should not be editable. I believe the fields need to be placed on the panels in order for the data to flow, but I can't find how to lock them (I'm working on SO Detail now). They are not showing up as available to hide. None of the fields are date fields. If they have to be viewable, I'll put them on the secondary grid. What am I missing?

Double-click on the field object, then click the options tab, then check the Disabled box under properties.

Did that - not stopping the ability to modify the data for multi-line UDF. Works for drop down UDFs.

Ok, got it. Betweeen rebuiliding customizer log and resetting the panel, I got there. After disabling fields again.

Whew! Glad I got SOMEthing right today!

@BethBowers thank you for asking! The answer is no, they don't. I have a memory (faulty, it appears) that I had been down this road before and learned that the fields needed to be added to the screens. I just did another test and had a different experience. Yay!
