  • 1.  How to keep UDF AP Detail from posting to AP liability account 2020.1

    I have set up a UDF entered into AP invoice Detail to post through to GL detail.  The Expense accounts selected are posting correctly with the UDF value. The AP account posting detail is being tagged with the last UDF value entered into the line detail for the journal entry. The AP account should not be populated with a UDF value.  This  is throwing off GL detail reports by the UDF value.  I don't recall this happening in prior versions.  Thoughts?

    I have a similar set up (for about 10 years now).  Looking at the AP account from 2017, the GL UDF is populated randomly.  Looked at several and I am not seeing a pattern.

    @Jeff Schwenk you and I have discussed this being pretty effective as a substitute for a real simple job cost system.  I have a handful of clients using this successfully.  I had to reinstall my test 2020 and I am trying to determine if it isolated to my system or if by chance anyone else is using this approach to capture costs and revenue by a UDF ID.  And if they have noticed any issues with 2020.1.  May be a call to Sage.  ​
