  • 1.  How to get rid of OVERDIST where QTY =0 and Value >? $0

    How can I get rid of OVERDIST where the inventory item (FIFO) shows 0 QOH and a vale <> $0

    1. Tried the Inv - Utilities - Remove Zero QTY Costing Tiers - did not work
    2. Tried Recalculate Item History - no luck
    3. Tried *UTIL "Balance Inventory Quantity and Cost" - no luck
    4. Recalculate Item History ( again ) - no luck 

    Is the solution to just DFDM them out of IM_ItemCost and make whatever adjusting entry might be required in the GL?

    No.  This is what we do:
    • Adjust +1 at whatever unit cost you want...
    • Post.
    • Adjust -1 at the total unit cost from the tier, which could be a negative number.  (Do not combine rows by item code... one IA line per cost tier being fixed).
    • Post.
    Done!

    Does that get rid of the OVERDIST or then after making the adjustment do you run the Negative Tier Adjustment?

    This zeroes out the value... and you can then run remove zero quantity cost tiers to get rid of it.

    While you are at it, fix the negative 3 cents in warehouse 222.  I think our best bet is either get this fix on the Mod Squad short list via the negative tier adjustment, create an entry on the IDEA site, or perhaps publicly shame them on the Sage Community.  Is it really that complicated?

    Unless I'm missing something ( extremely possible ) there should be a utility - possibly with the OVERDIST - which clears out tiers that have QTy = 0 and extended value <> $0.
