What I have seen at one location is that I made mods to the report and the person testing could not see the changes.
@Alnoor Cassim says there is supposed to be date checking so the most current version is always used, but that was not happening. I could see the report in the cache. After clearing the cache, without further changes to the report, it printed correctly for the client, as well.

You are not alone. I was not aware of a separate "Crystal Cache". We've always dealt with the reinitializing the work files like when WO travelers get jammed up. You checked the form code itself that it didn't get corrupted? Create a new form code from copy?

Hmm, am I the only one who's not privy to this? It's not ringing a bell. I most often will just reinit the applicable Crystal wrk files whenever there's funky printing happening. I don't recall ever having to address the 'Crystal cache', but I suppose it's entirely possible I just don't remember.

Doug - I believe the Cached RPTs are used for Advanced not Standard. BUT just in case make sure you turn on the File Explorer option to Show hidden files, folder, and drive since C:\ProgramData is a hidden system folder.
@Beth Bowers Hmm good to know!

@Alnoor Cassim - I can say from personal experience on MULTIPLE client sites - that logic doesn't always work. I've made updates to reports or forms and the client still gets the old one when they print until we clear the cache.

Doug - That folder structure is on the workstations. It should be safe to rename that on a given workstation because it will get recreated during Print/Preview. However I don't know if it will actually solve the problem. There is already logic during print/preview to check the date/time of the cached .RPT and overwrite it if necessary. I'm thinking the strange printing may be more related to data or a change in remote RDS or Citrix printer driver.

Thanks David. It that on the server or the workstations, and do I delete everything in the folder? Any risk of damaging anything?

I believe "C:\ProgramData\Sage Software\Cache\MAS 200" and its sub folders are what you are looking for.
