Sage CRM can be the most optimal solution.
In terms of functionality and depth,Sage CRM is definitely a top tier CRM, but generally about a third of the cost. The software is less expensive, but also making changes within Sage CRM is also a lot easier (less expensive). So, generally Sage CRM is approximately a third of the cost in year one and then annually. And if you want to integrate with your Sage accounting system,Sage CRM becomes a no brainer.
What about all of the lower end turn-on-and-use CRMs?
Sage CRM can't really compete against less costly (less functional) systems that can just turn on and be used.
Firstly, because Sage CRM is not hosted by the publisher Sage. Rather it is installed on your network. Secondly, because Sage CRM is so configurable, a certain amount of thought needs to go into 'how it will be used'.
This is vastly different in comparison to certain CRM type applications where the publisher simply turns on access and you can use it for functions A, B, & C.
