  • 1.  Hot-fix installs Production Management Sage 100 v. 2019 PU2

    There are approx. 75 hot-fixes from Scanco for Production Management.  Besides a sold backup, any advice on the install?  

    Also, I don't see a 'bundled' install executable so it looks like they are installed one by one.   Joy. 

    75 individual hot-fixes.  Reminds me of the '90s.

    It's hideous.  And some are bundled together yet listed separately on the list. And I'm not sure whether some of the same program is in more than one - I tried to install in numbered order so the last one would be the newest.

    Beth i tried going in numerical order but then i saw some lower number hotfixes were release after some higher number hotfixes. 
    It is ridiculous, how are we suppose to know whether or not a hotfix will override another hotfix when they share the same file name?
    If you apply a latter hotfix for the same file name, does it contain the fixes from the prior?
    It's a mess.

    At least one of them 18264 also requires you to run a SYZCON utility after the install too.  It's a giant PITA to keep all this straight...

    After the programshave been unzipped into the MAS90 directory
    2.Launch Sage 100
    3.Go to File then Run
    4.Type in SYZCON and click ok
    5.At the prompt->, type in RUN "JT_AddMaterialShortageReport.M4p"and press <ENTER>
    6.When the utility has completed, you will be returned to a prompt ->.
    7.Type in bye and press <ENTER>
    8.Exit out of Sage 100
    9.Launch Sage 100 again10.Access Role Security from the Library Master>Main menu
    11.Allow access to the Material Shortage Report for any roles that should be allowed to run the reportThe report will be available now to run from the menu and auto run from Work Ticket Entry based on settings.

    Exactly.  I was hoping if I overwrote one it would show me the dates and I could decide, but the server I was on didn't care.  Just had to hope for the best.  I was going to take all of them and install and try to figure it out, but hadn't gotten around to it yet.
