I had a demo of Event Manager today and will be providing a quote at our next Board Meeting on July 11 for Higher Logic Event Manager.  This add-on was not included in our initial purchase contract in 2018 as we had agreed to review it again at a later date.  The HL Event Manager would replace Eventbrite, Google tracking, and possibly Whova plus add new options for managing all types of events (webinars, classes, etc.).  There are also email templates, automation rules, and each event can have a community for posting messages between registrants. I've attached some documentation on the Event Manager. 

Please let me know if you would like to have a short demo during our July 11 Board Meeting or at a separate time.

I think this could be an important enhancement to our ability to increase community engagement for 2 reasons:
1. It should make it much easier for all members to see the upcoming calendar of events. The way this is currently handled is terrible. We want all members to easily understand how much education we offer beyond just the community threads.

2. Significantly reduce the manual effort required to operate the events, from our webinars up to MOTM. If we achieve this, we reduce the time commitments needed by volunteers and the financial expenses of paid contractors.

I think we should see a demo at some point. My preference is to do this after we are clear about what we want it to achieve for us. Part of that could be a rough cost-benefit analysis, which also then highlights the KPI's for its use.
