Use this thread to make suggestions about changes you'd like to see in Higher Logic.

We will be looking at making some changes to Higher Logic. There are many areas we can customize and many others we can't.

We will probably use your suggestions here to generate a poll and begin to prioritize those changes.

Remove the ability to post simultaneously to two groups. This can cause the discussion to split as people are unsure which message they should reply to. I believe it might become worse as the message's "age" and people are trying to search yet are finding duplicate messages of the same title.

It would be nice if the email notifications weren't as long and didn't contain a lot of info from previous replies. I find it confusing/difficult to read them - especially while on mobile.

There is a checkbox but it does not work the way I'd want.  Your reply to this thread should be at the top of the list, but it is not... because the filter by thread seems to only search the top post, not all content within the thread.

I'd like to see the original question/posting email, but not see subsequent responses unless I have responded to the post.  Currently seeing every response is blowing up my email!  The double edge is that we'd have to go out to 90minds to find responses though for topics of interest in following.  
Could there be a 'follow' button at the original post, that if I wanted to follow all the responses, we could 'click' the button and then we would get emails of all the responses on that posting?
I'm in agreement with a better search - search at the top subject matter or original post.

And why is it when I type @name for a mention, sometimes it finds a name and other times it just spins looking?

I mainly rely on emails to know what is going on, clicking the emailed links to participate in discussions.  Currently announcements are practically invisible to me.  If announcements can't be subscribed to (daily email?) or have comments, perhaps an Announcement discussion might be a better strategy (vs using the HL feature...).

Some issues are going to require outside help and it hasn't been decided how those are going to be handled yet. We are in the research phase of figuring out who can help us with what pieces.

Any update from my #21 post above (from April)?  What is the secret?  I am using Firefox.  It would seem that a simple @ plus a first name should spin up the possibilities to pick from.  NOT!!  In post #24 above (dated 8/19/19) you mentioned that there was hope for some sort of "movement".  Can you be more specific?  Do you need a better laxative to bust it loose?  HL was supposed to make group collaboration better, but honestly, I am only seeing bitter!  Please spend some money and get this fixed.  It is annual dues renewal season.  People will vote with their renewals.

I find Firefox to be the most forgiving of all the browsers. It even consistently works with the Partner Portal without SAP errors!

@Jeff Schwenk, I've been digging through the Higher Logic User Group Forum (their Sage City & KB rolled into one) and haven't found much. Most of the reports were issues with the user's browser.
