Hi Kids :) I have just been asked to provide SageCRM training for clients next week. Does anyone here have any idea where I can get a hold of a curriculum? I was given nuthin' but instructions to go to YouTube to see what I could come up with prior to my training session. Not exactly a good situation for the client.........

@KathleenMatthews - I'm around this weekend off and on. You can reach me at 312.513.9333. Or Monday works too... We have a pre-established set of SageCRM training modules based on the particular need (General Navigation, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, etc.). It has a high-level list of topics covered that might help. Or ... if you are interested in something more, I can shift our trainer's schedule around and she could provide the actual training as well.

@PeterWolf do you sell these. Not to me/us but to the general VAR community?

I do sell the classes in conjunction with other partners. My only challenge is that I publish the pricing at http://www.azamba.com/training.aspx so it restricts any marking up. Some partners ask for a commission so we work something out that way. I'm open to suggestions on the matter and if anyone has great ideas on how I could package them up better for other VARs to recommend / resell.

VARS are whores and if you package them up for them to resell individually they're going to rip you off by copying and reselling them without giving you a dime. Either sell a site license for the paper books or continue the combo pricing where you also provide the training. I'd b wary of selling just a book because you're going to find the the VARS copy and re-use them. My .02

Thanks for the call out! The course itself doesn't have a guide but we do have leave-behinds which are a combination of workbooks and tip sheets that summarize content covered. We used to provide full guides but a) they took forever to keep updated and b) we surveyed clients and found that only 10% of these time-consuming books were ever opened. The tip sheets get used regularly as people can tack them up in their offices / cubes / boards.

Peter, is it safe to say that your guide is more informative than the Sage U course material????

I agree with @Wayne. In my travels as a Certified Trainer, I have been amazed (for lack of a better word) by the plaguerized docs seen sitting on clients' desks. @Peter - Thanks for the contact info. I spent my weekend working on my personal laptop after getting a nasty virus. So much for Trend Micro PC-cillin!! Laptop is now up and running as it was prior to the infestation, but I am exhausted!!! I will call you in a little bit - THANKS!!

Have computer, will steal................................. Isn't that the mindset???????? We complain about China reproducing pirated copies but the issue is rampant everywhere.

@ Peter - Raise your published price, discount for VARs and for your customers who buy $x worth of services. Raises your percieved value and keeps your margins.
