Hi - I searched before I posted but didn't see this exact issue: Sage 100 Standard 2017. One user freezes with no error message, about once a day or every other day. Not in the same place in Sage100. When this users locks up the other 2 users on this system also lock up. If they kill Sage on the first user, or re-boot her PC, then the other 2 users are then ok without restarting, and the server does NOT have to be restarted. Any ideas would be helpful. I am planning to discuss network card/driver/cable/port issues on the ""first"" PC with their IT outsource, and A/V as well - I would appreciate any other insight on this issue and if anyone has this scenario before ? TIA

Sounds vaguely familiar. Have searched the posts but have nothing but goose eggs. The truth is out there. Just have to find the right combination of words..

Since it's Standard and presumably this user's Launcher and all other task windows also freeze up, my 1st guess is PC is going to sleep mode or disconnecting after x minutes of inactivity. Control Panel / Power might be your 1st place to start. There is also the Power properties on the NIC adapter but less likely. Other classic things could be present too such as WiFi connection (that's not going through RDP) or the very old DHCP ""half-life renewal"" as I called it. Don't know if still applicable but in the old days, I would type ipconfig /all and then take (Least Expired - Lease Obtained) / 2 and knew DHCP renewal took place where designed short network disconnect / reconnect occurs. So say difference is 12 hrs that means if user is sitting with Sage 100 windows open after being logged into network for 6 hrs, then lock-up could occur. Other causes too especially if server o/s is older.
