Sage 100

Hi - does anyone know the latest status for Timecard for Sage100 2018 ? I have seen things that said ""March 2018"" .... any updates would be appreciated . Thank you Jeff

It's integrated with Payroll now called ""Time Track"". there is an enable button in PR Options after applying PU2/PR2018.1, but I have no idea other than that. there is no documentation that I can see anywhere.

Also enable in Job Cost Options.

It was included in the 2018.2 that just came out last Friday. Make sure you go into Role Maintenance and check the new check boxes after installing or you won't see it.

@MichelleForsey Do you know if ""Time Track"" is included in the payroll subscription, or is it a separate charge?

My guess is that if Sage thinks they can get more money, they will charge you somehow, someway.

@DougHiggs I do not know. I think everything said ""If they own the timecard module"" which is cryptic at best since that module doesn't exist anymore :) On another note, I have 2018 Premium Installed, and the Box to enable timetrack is there, but greyed out. Full Admin rights. Is Time Track not available yet in Premium? Am I missing something?

During MOTM my ears heard that you would be able to use Time Track with PR OR JC. You cannot set up Time Track in a company without Payroll being Activated. I just tried. So it looks like you still need to buy ""Timecard"" and Payroll if you want to enter time. Even if you do not want Payroll. There is no longer a Timecard menu. Can we be more confusing?

Thanks everyone. I was hoping Time track would be ""free"". Not sure how I came up with that that ridiculous idea.

@NicoleRonchetti You were playing in TT, right? Any wisdom on this? Are you able to access it in Premium? I don't understand how that is supposed to work if Timecard has to be purchased/installed, but Timecard has never been available for Premium. Unless I am missing something?

@MichelleForsey I didnt try anything on Premium. But my guess is that Time Track would work on Premium since its framework now. As far as what people need to ""purchase' I'm clueless on that one. I thought TT was free if you have either PR or JC but cant be used on its own.

You would need the latest PU installed for it to work on premium.

I wonder then what I am missing @DougHiggs ?? I can see the timetrack enable button, but it is greyed out in both JC and PR. Full rights in Sage - and of course searching ""Time Track"" in the KB and help files pulls back a great big nothing.

No idea why Sage did not get out in front of this. Maybe they were spending too much time on the Timecard beta....
