Committee Events

Hi All. I will not be able to attend today's planning committee meeting. My almost two-year-old grandson had an accident yesterday and is in the hospital. We will be there today and I will be of no use to the committee anyway. He is doing well so far but he had a metal rod pierce his cheek. Besides stitches, he has a concussion and some broken bones. OMG!!! I hope all continues to improve. Hospitals are a scary place, especially if you are almost two. Were his parents able to stay overnight with him? Thoughts and prayers for all as well!!!!!

Yes, parents are with him. My son asked if we could bring deodorant. :)

He's doing much better! Just got word he walked this morning - yay!

A picture of me feeding him this evening. He is talking and answering questions. ""Do you want more soup?"" ""Yeah."" ""Do you want some ice cream?"" ""YEAH!"" He also walked around the PICU unit twice then went to the pediatrics play room and played with the toys. So wonderful!!

Having been in the hospital yesterday myself, I can attest how comforting it is to have loved ones there with you. Especially when you can't hear so your wife answers the question for you!!!!! Now if only I could get her to feed me. Such a cutey!. He does look like he wants to say ""Put the damn camera away""!!!!! Is he getting sprung for the weekend holiday?

Thanks. Getting better. Horrible case of heart burn. ER doc said there is a flu bug still going around. Had the other symptoms of flu and the worst heart burn ever. With my heart procedure last year, after a day of this, we went into the ER for an EKG. Heart is fine, they gave me a ""GI Cocktail"" to tame the burn. Back on my feet (or at least sitting in my chair) today. Stomach still sore. Brain is throbbing from the backload of customer issues....

I think he said that he's in the CHAIR to recovery ...

He is now out of Pediatric Intensive Care but still in Pediatrics. He MAY go home tomorrow or Friday @JeffSchwenk . Glad to hear that you are okay as well!!
