Hi all, We are working with a client on Sage 100 who would like to set up what they keep calling a customer portal on their website. What they would like to accomplish with this portal is an place a customer could log in and see all their order info such as the sales order, the status of their order, the invoice etc... We have never done anything like this before and were wanting to know if anyone else has come across comething similar to this or if anyone had any ideas on how to go about setting something like this up.

This is what the old eBusiness Manager module does.

We currently have a project going like this using Sage CRM and the Self Service Portal that comes with the single CRM license in version 4.5. Nice thing about this is that there is no additional licensing required if they are not using CRM. The single license is enough and the Self Service Portal is included with the single user license. Cost associated with this is the Portal development and we have been working with CRM Together (http://www.crmtogether.com/Portals.aspx) on the project.

@PeterWolf - have you done anything along these lines?

Yes - We have done about two dozen portals for clients over the last two years - all shapes and sizes. It's become a very important facet of CRM because it allows you to provide more information and better access to the end user customers (your client's customers) at a lower cost (self-service vs calling or emailing an employee for information). It's not as easy to display MAS data because custom access points usually need to be developed.

Peter, would this be something similar to what our friends in Nashville are using for their web orders?
