Hi all - my team had our annual ""Summit"" (that isn't over-used is it?) and one thing that came up is that we are exploring the idea of a Sage CRM user conference to share technical information and roadmap with customers. I am wondering - assuming we had a strict ""no poaching"" clause in effect for all parties - if any of you would like to participate and either put on a session or send customers. The hope would be customers go, learn something, are happier with what they have, and possibly raise their hands and ask for your help with implementing the stuff they see. We haven't worked out all the details but we are thinking two days, Chicago, May / June / July timeframe, $1,000 early bird - partners could sell tickets for a 30% margin, partners with 3 paying end users attend for free. Still fleshing this out and wanted to see if there is any interest at all. Could be a dumb idea but with the lack of an official Sage option, we think it might be beneficial.

@PeterWolf It's an excellent idea. Before someone asks about the $1,000 fee, keep in mind that Dreamforce full passes are $1,999, and they sell out every year. If the content is valuable, customers are willing to make the investment. I enjoyed Chicago when Summit was there, so it seems customers would be positive about the location.

Thanks John for the feedback. We aren't sure if $1,000 is too much or not and it's just a placeholder for now. I think it depends on what we offer. Our goal is to present some informative, hands-on training on dashboards, reports, automation, marketing campaigns, etc. People that like to roll up their sleeves will be able to use it to their full advantage. For others, it will help them understand what is possible with Sage CRM which is just as important. Many customers have no idea what they can actually do with Sage CRM.

Sage has a roadmap for CRM? If you held it in a major city abutting a weekend so that people could bring their families AND gave them awesome content and gave it a catchy name (Sage CReaMforce?) Perhaps have it the same week as Summit (the ALT Summit with a tagline - We talk about the AMERICAN product used CURRENTLY, not a Limey vapor one due out in two years). Or even the first week in March in San Diego if you would be open to collaborating with other CRM resellers after MOTM. Azamba team members could wear red plaid flannel (easily identifiable to the masses). I think you idea would fill a void....

I'm thinking Chicago for the location because ... it's local to me and will make life a lot easier. :) Definitely interested in collaborating with other partners who would want to put on sessions. Hopefully that was clear from my original post - if not, yes please let me know if anyone wants to jump in!!!

We continue to move this idea forward. Would any of you be willing to have a call with me to discuss planning? I'm not looking for any commitment to participate in the actual conference. My goal is to brainstorm and tap into ideas to create a great experience. Particularly any of you that have done user groups in the past and have some successful tips and tricks for us. I will write up any findings and suggestions and share back with the group.
