I'm sure I'll have some relatives down there. It's becoming a real issue. They've developed some pretty strict laws on pythons finally.

These jerks who think it's cool to have exotic animals (aka attention seekers) then dump them when they become big enough to swallow them whole...

You're right. I've known a few of them over the years. What happens frequently is, the snake escapes. They are really good at that. It also means they're really good at getting inside. There was a guy who had a 8 foot python get into his house without him knowing. When he went to wash dishes, it was in the water and started wrapping around his arm. He had to call 911. It all ended with the guy only getting minor injuries and the snake wasn't harmed.
