Hey, based on those ugly Road Ahead sessions at Summit, wasn't there supposed to be some major decision re Payroll announced by the end of 2014? Surely that little payroll purchase they made wasn't the big secret deal Doug LeBahn was withholding from the angry mob, was it?

Sadly I think that it probably was. I have always been lead to believe that the program code for the payroll module is pretty complex and maybe not exceptionally well documented and that's one reason it's not in framework.

You guys must have missed the announcement... The big secret was the release of the new download procedures for the ird and tax table updates.... All you have to do is guess what web site and what links you need to navigate to find them... then hope you have .NET whatever, pop-ups enabled, compatibility view on, and not using one of the Google or IE versions older than 6 months. Enjoy the new features... BTW prices only increased 10%.

How insane is it that Google Chrome is not supported for the crappy Sage Download Manager. How on earth is whoever authorized that still working at Sage? Then again maybe they aren't. And then who signed off on compressing downloads two times -- first as an exe which decompresses to a zip. Wow. Just wow.

    I hate SAGE downloads!

I hate anything that relates to the partner portal in any way, shape, or form; just in case anyone had any doubts about how I feel.

KB archive broken again - IE 10 or Chrome. It is so fun when you are trying to help someone and instead spend time just with the non-working tools.

Speaking of partner portal - Yesterday I noticed that the address on one of my invoices had changed so when I asked Sage about it they said it looks like it had been changed on the Partner Portal. The address was completely different - different street, city state. Of course I did not change it on the portal and they had never seen this before...

I had a problem with the portal the other day so for ha ha's I decided to call portal support. The guy suggested I use chrome instead of Internet explorer. So I said but then won't the download manager not work? The guy then said I can't really help you with the portal - he could only help with logging onto the portal. I just enjoy being a PITA sometimes ha!

I'll just go back into denial now. There is no partner portal.

If this discussion on the Partner Portal gets traction, is there a size limit on socialcast? - because we'll exceed it.

Deborah and Mike have some questions to answer that MOTM!!! If you want can send them a list of items to address. I have a meeting with her next week to discuss her presentation. Or we can just make them squirm in front of us.

I vote for squirming, even though I won't be there to witness it. But if someone could post the video on YouTube, that would be great. :-)

    What Partner Portal, @Real...I mean @JohnHoyt ?

@RobertWood If you access the Partner Portal just as the sun sets on the West Coast using Firefox, it works great for at least 5 minutes.

    Is medicinal marijuana required?

@RobertWood The results of my beta testing indicate it doesn't necessarily need to be medicinal... apparently any strain will do.

We just call it ""medicinal"" here in California. (wink wink, nudge nudge)
