    Here's the scoop on the taxi protests outside the Gaylord. Apparently the hotel stopped allowing taxis to pick up from the front and instead went with one transportation company claiming that the customer experience was better, etc. Looks as if these protests have been going on since June. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dr-gridlock/wp/2013/06/14/prince-georges-taxicab-drivers-rally-for-fares-at-gaylord-national-resort/

    I think the Gaylord has the right idea. I had an ""independent"" cab ride form Gaylord to near Dulles and it wasn't a great ride. Since when does a cabbie need GPS (old one btw) to get to an airport? Also he didn't have change for the toll rodes, which I paid and reduced his tip accordingly. I won't ride in an independent cab again.
