Users. Are they all at one location? Using Terminal Server/Citrix? will any workstations be replaced/upgraded to W7 during this operation? Are there any workstations that have any problems, even just occasionally, with MAS 90? Abra payroll Custom reports. In addition to the ""not on menu."" some have many custom reports they no longer use/need. Specify any no longer used. At some point before quoting, we also require the LM System Config Listing; it often conflicts with the modules they say they have.

Good info. I will add to my original list. It's amazing how many companies don't know what they use. I just did one upgrade for a user who self supported for 3-4 years. When their internal people left nobody had a clue what udfs were used. I could print them out but procedurally it was 'deer in the headlights' type responses.

Also, do they have any ""linked applications"" such as Excel queries or Access databases.

Thanks! My goal is to have this as a text file so when a customer asks for a quote I can: a. Create a Basecamp project b. Copy/paste this checklist/form into Basecamp c. Completed the checklist d. Use the checklist for quote - copy/paste into an addendum to serve as somewhat of a project definition. This way I cover several problem areas where customers ask for quotes, take months to decide, then come back and want to start tomorrow. By having all this information already gathered into a project I'm a little more ready to go (versus scratching my head wondering what we talked about three months ago)... I don't create free quotes for upgrades unless the company is on a plan with me. Companies coming in via the web have historically been price checkers with hidden issues. Many of these are on version 3.x, never need help, hardly ever need to call, want to purchase services ala carte (translation: lowest rate available).

@WayneSchulz Great idea! This looks like it covers everything . @DawnAnastasi ""linked application"" Starting to have so many of them and that is one of the thing I forget when we talk about a upgrade. Excel queries what a wonderful thing! Thanks!!!!!
