Hearing from Sage that a new windows update to windows defender is making the application remove legacy (non-Business Framework) files thinking they are threats. I have not validated this yet but that is the word from Sage. Thought I would share if anyone is seeing issues related to legacy module.

I've had a client loose a couple of data entry files in work order (WOK and WO_13) can't say for sure it is related, but thanks for the heads up Todd. if it keeps happening I'll have a place to start looking.

We have seen it with PR files and on Sage advanced with the sota.ini file on users C drives. . Whoever is in charge of the management of the antivirus MUST make exclusions. We do NOT recommend anyone using Sage to use Windows Defender and we have IT create a policy to disable it in favor of other solutions like Trend Micro or Webroot with appropriate exclusions made.

Thanks Beth for pointing to the thread. Looks like it got a few of us in it. Sage has been going crazy with it all day today from what I have been told.

Does this look like it's mostly impacting users of Microsoft Windows Defender? @ToddMartin @MaryMays ?

My understanding was it was only Windows Defender doing it.

I've had lots of this with webroot and payroll files and Sage's KB named Webroot by name.
