  • 1.  Heads Up: IRD 2022 Has Patches

    IRD 2022 has a patch that you should load after installing the IRD

    The 2022 IRD is compatible and applicable for the following versions:

    • Sage 100 2022.0 – 2022.2 (7.10.0 – 7.10.2)
    • Sage 100 2021.3 – 2021.5 (7.00.3 – 7.00.5)
    • Sage 100 2020.5 – 2020.6 (6.20.5 – 6.20.6)

    The patches fixed an issue where Box 16 (State Income Tax) did not print on the 1099-MISC form.

    Separate patches depend on the version of Sage 100 you applied the IRD.

    This whole thing has me a little nervous.  I always have users verify the federal and state ID numbers on all 1099 processing that I help with and both ID numbers were always there.  I know it printed for Wisconsin.  I wish they had more info on exactly what the bug was.  I believe I would have received rejections already, being in Wisconsin.

    I didn't go back and look at what was in box 16.  I assumed they were talking about the state ID.  Since I've never seen anyone do backup withholding on vendors, I guess I don't consider it a big deal at this point.  Does anyone really do that?

    Two issues, two different threads.  This thread is for the IRD hotfix for the missing box 16 information (if there was state tax withheld).  The other thread is for missing state registration number (not the recipient).
