Heads Up. In version 2016 the field called ""ExtendedDescriptionKey"" changed (in multiple files). In prior versions, this field was blank if the item did not have an extended description. Now, it contains 10 zeroes ""0000000000"". If your forms or reports use this field to check if there is an extended description, like mine did, you will need to change your formula or items will appear with no description at all.

Thanks for the heads up. I ran into the issue last Thursday. Simple fix but frustrating to have to do.... I apologize for not saying something by Friday when the excitement died down...

Sage has had a KB on this for a bit - unfortunately, it seems that a lot of problems with changes to check layouts leave Sage unable to fix during upgrades. The other big gotcha I'm running into is that older versions of Sage would not balk if you commented out invalid formulas in Crystal forms. Yet when I upgraded a few customers to 2016 suddenly Sage stopped working until I completely removed the formula.

I just added this to the ""Gotchas"" document on Evernote.

Thanks. I was burned by this earlier this week.

So does it fill in the ""0000000000"" in everything as part of the upgrade or is it just on new record creation after the upgrade?
