Heads up for those of you who work with JobOps: there is a problem in 4.40 where the unit cost gets screwed up during the invoice update process for credit memos generated from the RMA module, at least for lot/serial items (the client who discovered the problem has everything with those valuations). After much back and forth and sending the client's data to JobOps they have acknowledged the defect, but no fix yet. The controller at this client checks her inventory and WIP values vs the GL accounts at the end of each day, so someone who is not paying such close attention may not even know they have the problem.

I just got a patch from JobOps for this, so if you have any clients also experiencing it, contact Synergistics for it.

If anyone has this patch, or if you have updated your customer to 4.40 R3 which includes the patch, be aware that while this fixed the cost amount in the RMA credits, it created a new problem. When you ship out the replacement item on the RMA it has the GL entries between expense and inventory accounts BACKWARDS (debits/credits reversed).

Just took a client to r3 the other night in hopes of resolving the many reported bugs we have with them. Gl balances is one of them.
